Laura is a full-time Reiki practitioner and offers Reiki sessions as well as spiritually based holistic health enrichment.
She has over 15 cumulative years in the health care field and has incorporated reiki in her line of work since 2006. She also has a background as a college educator and a domestic abuse advocate with a focus on trauma informed care.
Laura stumbled upon reiki when struggling to heal mentally, emotionally,spiritually, and physically as a result from trauma associated with abuse. She credits reiki as life saving. Although, she advocates traditional medicine, she has avoided the need for invasive procedures, pain medications, and other medical treatments because of her use of reiki which led to her passion to learn reiki and eventually to teach.
Laura was always drawn to Jikiden form of reiki for quite some time, and finally had to the opportunity to study with Frank Arjava Petter in May 2015 and it not only changed the way Laura perceived reiki, but it changed her world. For this, she is grateful to have the privilege to practice and teach Jikiden Reiki.
Laura has published articles on reiki and has been a frequent speaker on using reiki as a viable treatment option for healing trauma, dementia, pain, end of life, and more throughout New England.
To this day, Laura continues to use reiki to help herself, her family, friends, pets, and clients. She offers in-person and absentee Jikiden Reiki treatment sessions.

She currently serves as a volunteer board member for Massachusetts Survivors Outreach and has been a speaker for the Celebration of Reiki Conference discussing her experiences using reiki as a viable treatment option to heal trauma associated with abuse.
Laura is trained in two forms of reiki – Jikiden Reiki and the more Westernized Usui Reiki
- Jikiden Reiki is the “direct teaching” of reiki taught in Japan free from any Western influence. Laura is an accredited Shihan meaning "teacher" through the Jikiden Reiki Kenkyukai or Jikiden Reiki Institute in Kyoto, Japan. Sessions are 60min, 90min or 120min each.
- Usui Reiki version is a more westernized version of reiki as taught by Mrs. Takata. This version follows her lineage. Sessions are 30min or 60min each.
